TRANSFORMATIVE TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATIVE COLLABORATION

Luís is an extroverted and visionary technology expert known for his ability to blend critical thinking with intuition. He began his career in the field of mechanical engineering, inspired by his early passion for disassembling devices to understand their inner workings.

His academic journey led him to pursue a Master's degree in Antwerp, Belgium, specializing in green mobility. Luís's academic excellence earned him an invitation to a Ph.D. program at KU Leuven, where he initially explored medicine but eventually shifted to Engineering Sciences, with a focus on Lithium-ion batteries.

Upon completing his Ph.D., Luís returned to Portugal and joined INEGI, where he began coordinating a team specializing in additive manufacturing. Over the years, he has grown his team to ten members and secured substantial funding for various R&D projects.

Luís leverages his extensive international network to bring innovative and challenging projects to his teams, providing them with opportunities for growth and development. He embraces the philosophy of learning from failure and making quick, informed decisions to ensure collective success.
