He started his journey as a physiotherapist and soon, he took on leadership roles in hospitals, where he revamped practices, introduced innovation, and improved his team surgical recovery results.

Later venturing into the food and beverage sector, he has held positions of technical management and coordination in different areas withing the sector, always fully integrated with the business and with interfaces with marketing, commercial, financial, purchasing, and production, as well as external relations with many diverse entities, especially regulatory. Recently in Sumol+Compal, Luís emerged as a pivotal bridge between the company and global industry leaders. This entailed navigating complex EU regulations regarding novel foods, where he developed advocacy, safety, and fraud prevention skills, in collaboration with global think tanks and EU regulators.

His profound passion for innovation and new product development manifests daily, as he consistently provides crucial technical information pivotal for sound strategic business decisions. He maintains that enterprises must focus not just on financial gains but on their broader societal impact.
